PILATES POSTPARTUM

THE BEST TRAINING FOR YOU AS A NEW MOTHER

Would you like to get back in shape – quickly? It’s wonderful to become a mother, yet getting back into training can feel a little overwhelming. Did you know that pilates is the best form of exercise when you want to get back in shape after giving birth?

MATWORK POSTPARTUM TRAINING

At our Matwork Postpartum team, you will be guided and helped for 8 weeks through a thorough and carefully planned program that makes you strong and teaches you to use your pelvic floor correctly in function with the body’s other muscles. The postpartum training program is organized by physiotherapist Camilla Bækholm and psychotherapist Gitte Peirano.

In our postpartum program, we focus on training you from the inside out and can help you if you have split abdominal muscles (Rectus diastasis). You get both focused training and guidance on what to pay attention to in everyday life, and in this way, you get the best conditions for improving the function of your connective tissue and muscles after birth.

A good functional pelvic floor that holds tight during activity such as running, jumping and walking requires a systematic rehabilitation of your entire body from the deepest of the pelvic floor muscles and your internal abdominal muscles, and out to your external, visible muscles.

You also get our online postpartum training videos, so you can train daily from home.

In the postpartum training, we use a lot of pilates equipment and tools, which help you with training by challenge your muscles. We use, for example: Springboards, Barrels, Magic Circles, Foam Rolls, balls, yoga blocks, rubber bands and weights. In this way, you are guaranteed effective and varied rehabilitation after childbirth.

We recommend that you start training 6-8 weeks after you give birth.

Your baby is not part of the training as a rule, but they are of course always welcome. And if they need a nap, we have space for prams in the courtyard.

Feel free to contact us at info@pilatescph.dk if you have any questions.

PILATES REFORMER / TOWER POSTPARTUM TRAINING

Postpartum training in a small exclusive team with only 4 participants.

This class is optimal for you who have already participated in our Matwork postpartum course. You have control over your pelvic floor and how to use your abdominal muscles correctly.

In this course you get into shape with almost private classes, where there is room for both you and your baby.

The reformer is designed to increase your strength and flexibility. You will get the same important  focus on your pelvic floor training as on our Matwork course. In this way, you achieve effective and safe results. The course is for you who want more challenges in your Pilates training and who do not want to compromise with your postpartum training.

“As a new mother, I have enjoyed coming to the postpartum course, where I got to focus on strengthening my body, which it really needed. I have enjoyed coming to a place where there was room for my child to fill up the room a little. “

“Can highly recommend this place and the expertise of the instructors. I have been going to Pilates Cph ever since as my body really benefits from it and only more so after having a child which requires me to stay physically strong.”
