A unique gem in the heart of Copenhagen
In the centre of the city's pulse lies a little sanctuary - a Pilates studio filled with space, presence and a warmth that you feel as soon as you walk in the door. Here, the body is met with respect and the mind is allowed to land.
The Mat classes, which are disappearing from Copenhagen, have found one of their very special homes here. And it shows: the quality, attention to detail and love for the Pilates tradition itself is present in every movement.
Gitte, who is behind the programme, is a rare combination of deep professionalism, infectious joy and a presence that makes you feel seen - every time. She doesn't just teach; she conveys, uplifts and inspires. She gently guides us through the exercises, invites us to guess the next one and teaches us to understand the body from the inside. Her calm voice flows through the room like a morning meditation - it feels almost spiritual.
The classes are small, personalised and safe. And when Gitte is not teaching, her carefully selected team of warm, competent trainers are on hand. Each trainer has their own special energy, but all are equally skilful, attentive and sincere in their desire to give us something good to take home.
You get addicted to these mornings. To the community. To the calm. The feeling of starting your day in a space where everyone - from beginners to experienced - shares a loving intention to take care of their bodies. The variety of classes never ceases to surprise: springboards, balls, elastics, weights, spine stretchers - all used with precision and love for the subject.
And slowly but surely, a community develops. Many of us meet for a cup after training and suddenly you realise that you actually see these people more times a week than family and friends. It says something about the place. That it's not just training - it's a small, rewarding community in a busy city.
For me, this studio is not just a gym. It's a breathing space. A place that gives more energy than it takes.
A loving recommendation from here - this place is a gift to Copenhagen
