You may have noticed that we've added more Springboard classes to the class schedule. That's because it's such a brilliant tool - so simple and effective at the same time
What is a Springboard?
A Springboard is a modern training tool based on the Wall Tower developed by Joseph H. Pilates around 100 years ago.
The Springboard is, as the name suggests, a plate with springs on it. You can attach handles, foot straps or a bar/trapeze to the springs and work your arms, legs, back and stomach. Springs are available in different strengths and you can organise your workout according to your personal preferences. With the springs, you can train all muscle groups and the whole body at the same time.
One tool for everything
You can move the springs around and switch them so you can use light and hard springs for the same exercises. At the same time, you can vary your workout on the same tool endlessly.
That way, you can use just one tool.
Combination of training modes
Joseph H. Pilates, who produced and developed his own training equipment, was also an avid boxer, yogi and bodybuilder, and this whole palette of training styles has been a clear source of inspiration when developing his training tower.
Simple and efficient
With the Springboard as a tool, you can increase your strength, power, agility and core strength. And at the same time you'll get great abs. You can choose to focus on training your arms or legs, but the idea behind Pilates is best utilised when you train your entire body in each exercise.
With Springboard you'll see results quickly and technically it's quite easy to follow, but if you want to get the most out of your workout, you need to know the basic Pilates principles first.
