  “I've been dancing all my life, but it was actually probably through Pilates that I finally learnt a real core technique. Pilates is the kind of workout that you feel immediately - not in the form of muscle soreness or exhaustion - but in a feeling of effortless strength and flexibility. When I transitioned from a life as a professional dancer to a life as a very sedentary academic in my 30s, Pilates was a crucial physical support. Now in my 50s, I've really needed to rediscover, reboot and rebuild my body again and I love how Pilates helps me do that.”
