PILATES FOR MEN

Pilates is a targeted and effective training system developed by a man - for men.

Many of the world's leading athletes use Pilates as a regular part of their training because it develops strength, stability, mobility and body control.

Do you experience stiffness in your back and hips, tension in your neck and shoulders, or pain in everyday life or during sports? Pilates strengthens your entire body, improves your posture, and gives you a body that provides you with more energy in your daily life.

Small groups and personal guidance

There are a maximum of 10 participants per team. This allows time to observe you, adapt exercises, and give you the personal guidance you need.

To vary the tuition, we use different Pilates equipment, each with its own strengths. We use, among other things, Springboards (reformers on the wall), Barrels, Magic Circles, Foam Rolls, balls, resistance bands, and kettlebells. The equipment makes it possible to support the body when needed, or provide more resistance when you are ready for more challenges.

We train without music, so you can concentrate on the quality of the movements and get the most out of your workout.

If you have an injury or challenges that require special consideration, we recommend that you start with a private session. Read more here.

Since I started at Pilates Cph, my posture on the bike has improved significantly and I’ve built up a completely different level of core strength. I no longer rely solely on my legs, but use my whole body, and my pedalling has become both easier and more efficient. (…) I can honestly say that Pilates has eliminated 90 % of the back pain I used to suffer from after long rides in the saddle. The high level of expertise among the instructors ensures that the whole body gets a workout. It might seem a bit nerdy to focus on a tiny muscle, but it’s clear that every exercise serves a purpose and makes a difference. Pilates training at Pilates Cph is a really good addition for anyone who cycles. The training is focused, thorough and surprisingly tough – and that is precisely what delivers results that are lasting and practical.

“It wasn't exactly on the cards that Pilates would be my next sporting adventure, as disciplines like football, CrossFit, and running have always come first. (…) I can already feel progress and, with a relatively small amount of training, the back pain has subsided. The adventure has therefore only just begun, and Pilates is definitely something I will continue with in the future.”

Søren

Instead of going to a physiotherapist, I wanted to strengthen my back, core, and flexibility through exercise and was recommended Pilates. I no longer have back pain and can feel that I stand more stably and have much more mobility and strength.

What the hell is a 50-year-old man doing in a Pilates centre? Well, after 7-8 classes, the answer starts to dawn on you. Wellbeing, mental clarity, flexibility and contact with hundreds of tiny muscles you didn't realise you had - which in a short time will make you a better and more injury-free tennis player, runner, swimmer or whatever else you like to do with your body.

For several years I was very troubled by back problems and I had a lot of pain in my neck and lower back. ... Pilates Cph and their skilled instructors have helped me get rid of this pain, and the training has significantly improved my quality of life. My posture is much better and I feel significantly taller than usual.
