We offer training at all levels so you can start exactly where you are

Are you a beginner, or have you been practicing Pilates for many years? We have Pilates classes to match your level. Whichever class type you choose, you'll be challenged on strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance.

Everyday stiffness, tension, and minor discomforts in the body are precisely what we work with in our classes.

We combine the best of classical and modern Pilates and train the whole body in every class. You'll leave stronger, more mobile and with better posture.

Our team also uses a range of smaller equipment – what are known as props. Depending on the specific class, we use items such as Springboards (Reformer on the wall), Barrels, Magic Circle, Foam Rollers, balls, blocks, resistance bands, and weights. The equipment is used to support, challenge and vary the exercises, so that the training can be tailored to the individual. Two classes are never the same.

There are a maximum of 10 participants per team. This ensures that your instructor has time to observe you, adapt exercises, and provide manual guidance when needed. Your instructor's hands are an important tool. Manual guidance can help you perform exercises more accurately, thus gaining greater benefit from your training.

Classes take place without music, so full attention is paid to technique, breathing and quality of movement.

If you have an injury or challenges that require special consideration, we recommend you start with personalised training. Read more about it here.

Class cancellations must be made no later than 12 hours before the start.

You get access to all our Matwork, Springboard and Stretch classes

We offer pilates at ALL levels

Basic

Classes are for everyone

On our Basic class, you will learn the fundamental Pilates principles and build a strong foundation.
You will become familiar with the exercises and learn to use your body more appropriately, so you get the most out of your training.

Basic isn't just for beginners. It's also the class we recommend when the body needs a calmer pace and extra focus on the quality of movements.

Basic Matwork:
A classic Pilates class where you work your whole body. The instruction varies with small pieces of equipment (props), which challenge strength, stability and body control.

Basic Springboard:
An hour on our Springboards – popularly known as “a reformer on the wall”. Here you work with spring resistance, which challenges strength, stability and body control and provides a strong foundation for further training.

Pilates stretch

Classes are for everyone

An hour of stretching and immersion, combining the best of Pilates and yoga. The class takes place in a calm flow, where you move and stretch your whole body in depth.

Open

 Classes are for intermediate learners

On our Open class, the level is adapted to the participants in the class. Participation requires that you are familiar with the basic Pilates principles and the most common exercises. The teaching is varied with small training equipment (props), so you will be challenged at your level.

INTERMEDIATE

Classes are for advanced learners

Our Intermediate classes are dynamic and technically challenging. The pace is higher, the exercises are more complex, and greater demands are placed on strength, control, and stamina.

This class is for you who have trained Pilates for a longer period and are familiar with the fundamental Pilates principles and exercises. Individual considerations will not be taken.

Intermediate Matwork:
A Pilates class with more flow, a faster pace and greater technical challenges.

Intermediate Springboard:
An hour on our Springboards – popularly known as “a reformer on the wall”. The spring resistance challenges your strength and control, and the exercises are more complex than on Basic.

INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED

The hours are too practiced

A dynamic and technically challenging Pilates class. This class is for you who have practised Pilates for a long time, are familiar with all the basic Pilates principles, and know the exercises. Here you will be challenged with more advanced variations and an even higher technical level.

No individual considerations will be made.

Despite a 39-year age difference, Sophie and I have become friends. We met at Pilates Cph through our shared love of Pilates. After classes, we often have coffee and try to sort out world affairs... and a bit more. Even though our bodies and needs are very different, the skilled instructors manage to provide personal guidance. They are professional, present, and make the training relevant for everyone – regardless of age and starting point!”

I have struggled with lower back pain for over 12 years, and after numerous attempts with physiotherapists, chiropractors, reflexologists, and osteopaths, I had in fact given up hope of finding a treatment that worked. As a last resort, I tried Pilates, and since my first class, I haven't even considered stopping again. I can say without exaggeration that I have never attended a Pilates class where I didn't subsequently feel 5-10 cm taller than when I started the class – and the lower back pain has been decreasing month after month. My biggest regret is that I didn't start 12 years earlier.

By chance, I started Pilates after the birth of my eldest son. At the time, I didn't know it would become a form of exercise I couldn't let go of. With Pilates, I train my whole body, making it stronger and more flexible. It's also a good counterbalance to poor working postures and has given me a body awareness that helps me in everyday life. At Pilates CPH, I train in small classes with skilled and inspiring instructors who constantly pay attention to individual adjustments and explanations so that the exercises are performed optimally. It's a form of training you never finish because you can always improve and find another muscle you didn't know you had. Therefore, it's never boring or monotonous to come to Pilates CPH – new challenges always await. But it's not just the training that is top-notch. The atmosphere at Pilates CPH is also excellent with a cosy and friendly atmosphere.

Pilates Cph comes highly recommended. I started training at Pilates Cph with the hope that it might help with my back and leg problems due to a worn spine and a slipped disc – and it did 😊 In recent years, I'd had increasing problems with altered sensations and numbness in both legs due to nerve compression from my spine. I started Pilates as an attempt after intensive yoga and strength training, and having attended physiotherapy and done countless daily exercises, but it only got worse. I've now been training at Pilates Cph for approximately 6 months, three times a week, and it has significantly helped my back and legs. It's tough, systematic, and fun training, which has made me feel like my body is falling into place and I feel much better. It's a great pleasure to train at Pilates Cph. The instructors are top-qualified, teaching with great commitment and in good spirits, and the classes are so small that the instructor can get to everyone. You feel you're in good hands – it couldn't be better. If I had known what Pilates could do before, I would have started many years ago – but fortunately, it's never too late to start something new. I am 68 years old.

Training at Pilates Cph is one of the best things I've done for myself. My body feels stronger and healthier; for example, I used to suffer from tension headaches, but since Pilates became part of my daily routine, I haven't experienced any of them. Pilates is a wonderful way to become more present in your own body. When you immerse yourself in the exercises, the technique, the details, the precision, and the control, your focus naturally drifts away from everyday stress and worries, which is why I experience the training as a sanctuary. I'm doing something good for both my body and mind every time I go to Pilates.

After a long working life as a surgeon, I had acquired many ailments in my neck and back, and was very impaired in my daily life. I found it difficult to do the things I love in my free time, namely looking after my old house and garden in Sweden. After 1 year of Pilates, I have gained a completely new sense of well-being and energy. My sleep and mood have improved, primarily because I have got rid of the pain. I train 2-3 days a week and have become completely hooked. Many thanks to Gitte and her fantastic team of instructors.”

For me, Pilates has been much more than just exercise – it's been a way to rediscover and understand my body after both childbirth and injuries. At Pilates Cph, the instruction is so wonderfully in-depth that it's impossible to “cheat” your way through – you really get something out of every single class. The small muscles you didn't know existed are activated, and your whole body becomes stronger. It's never boring because there's always a new idea, a new approach, or a new piece of equipment up their sleeve. I've been training at Pilates Cph for 13 years now, and it simply can't be compared to anywhere else, either in terms of professionalism or results.

Now that I'm back to doing Pilates, I'm reminded of what I value so much about Pilates Cph. The good atmosphere, where I feel seen and welcomed. The small class sizes make individual guidance possible, and the instructors' competence and meticulous approach make a world of difference. It gives me a sense of security because I know the guidance is professionally sound. When I started at Pilates Cph after hip surgery, my whole body needed rehabilitation. I think of that training as something that changed my life. After a couple of years' break, my body started to act up again, and that's why I returned. I can already feel that it will be okay again with your help.

Pilates at Pilates Cph is the only exercise I've ever stuck with. Yes, it's brilliant training that suits my temperament, of course. But it's equally due to the fact that the language used is respectful, inclusive, and doesn't fall into the ‘we are girls who train to get thin and live up to a certain body ideal’ trap.

Anna

Pilates is so much more than rehabilitation. Admittedly, that's also where I started. For a while, I trained out of necessity. (...) Today, Pilates is for fun. The variety, pace, and challenges in the skilled instructors' classes mean I enjoy every session, even though the classes can be incredibly tough. My body is stronger, more supple, and more toned than ever before. But Pilates is also an investment in the future. I have osteoarthritis in my knee, and training at Pilates Cph is my hope for being able to live an active life for many years to come.

Gunhild

Since I started at Pilates Cph, my posture on the bike has improved significantly and I’ve built up a completely different level of core strength. I no longer rely solely on my legs, but use my whole body, and my pedalling has become both easier and more efficient. (…) I can honestly say that Pilates has eliminated 90 % of the back pain I used to suffer from after long rides in the saddle. The high level of expertise among the instructors ensures that the whole body gets a workout. It might seem a bit nerdy to focus on a tiny muscle, but it’s clear that every exercise serves a purpose and makes a difference. Pilates training at Pilates Cph is a really good addition for anyone who cycles. The training is focused, thorough and surprisingly tough – and that is precisely what delivers results that are lasting and practical.

“In my daily work as an actor, it's important that I'm in good physical shape. At Pilates Cph, I get a workout that both strengthens my physical condition and creates bodily well-being. Pilates builds musculature from the inside out, starting from the spine. You can feel your deepest muscles and thereby gain knowledge of your body – both its strengths and limitations. Pilates connects the head and body and creates coordination between movement and breathing. Pilates provides focus in both body and mind. I've been a member of Pilates Cph for 10 years. I always leave feeling a happier person every time I've trained at Pilates Cph.”

“Pilates is a great way to train your muscles, become more flexible, and increase your body awareness at the same time. I was born with a curved spine and have also always been incredibly inflexible. Therefore, I've long been trying to find a way to train my body to feel better regarding back pain and the like. (...) I've now been doing Pilates for a few months, and the improvements have been enormous. My posture has improved, my neck and back pain has almost completely disappeared, and all in all, I feel good in my body. Pilates is tough and challenging, but it's also possible to participate even if you're inflexible and out of shape. It's a great form of exercise that I would recommend to everyone.”

Wilhelm Brøbech Krings

Over the years, I've tried several Pilates studios both at home and abroad, and Pilates Cph is the best place for me. They stand for really high quality and an individual approach, which means you clearly feel progression in your training and get a better everyday life with a stronger, more flexible body – without pain. That's also why I returned to Pilates Cph. After a busy period with two small children, I started having neck problems. It was particularly the combination of Pilates training and osteopathic treatment that helped me regain mobility in my upper back and get rid of tension headaches. Many thanks to Pilates Cph for an effective and professional experience – and my warmest recommendations from here.

Anastassia Khrouchtcheva

“I've danced my whole life, but it was really through Pilates that I finally learned proper core technique. Pilates is the kind of workout that you immediately feel is working – not as subsequent muscle soreness or exhaustion – but as a feeling of effortless strength and flexibility. When in my 30s I transitioned from a life as a professional dancer to a life as a very sedentary university researcher, Pilates was a crucial physical support. Now, in my 50s, I've again seriously needed to rediscover, restart, and rebuild my body, and I love how Pilates helps me do that.”

Sara Dybris McQuaid

KU Researcher
Unfortunately, I have scoliosis to a degree that often causes me a lot of pain. I particularly experience pain if I don't do enough Pilates training for a period. Pilates training “lubricates” my joints and muscles, makes me stronger, and loosens the compensatory tension caused by the scoliosis. I would really hate to be without Pilates. I have been training at Pilates Cph for over 10 years. I have attended matwork, reformer/tower, pre- and postnatal classes, as well as private sessions. Sometimes I have tried other studios and other forms of training, but I have always returned – because the training and the instructors are simply better. They are truly skilled and adept at adapting the exercises to the challenges I have. I love the small studio and am extremely grateful for the dedicated Pilates training I receive. I am generous with recommending it to everyone I meet who has physical challenges. For me, it is the best studio in Denmark.

I have been super happy with Pilates Cph for many years. As you get older, you realise that it's very important to maintain flexibility and strength in all joints of the body. All the teachers at Pilates Cph are great and interested in guiding you on exactly what your body needs. I would definitely recommend Pilates Cph to all genders and ages!

After six months of two weekly classes at Pilates Cph, I am simply stronger, happier and slimmer than before. In Pilates, I have found a form of exercise that I do out of desire rather than obligation, and I credit Pilates Cph's inspiring and dedicated instructors.
