Pernille loves Pilates geekery as much as we do

Now that I'm back into Pilates training, I'm reminded of what I appreciate so much about Pilates Cph. (I once strayed into a gym with Pilates classes, but it was nowhere near your Pilates practice!)

  • The good atmosphere where I feel seen and welcomed. You make an effort to remember everyone's names and ailments and provide guidance according to individual needs.
  • Pilates Cph's nerdy approach and instruction. It's always been a mystery to me how you can tell that you don't tighten enough under the arms, or anywhere else, but it makes a world of difference!
  • Competent instructors who, in addition to being committed, are also competent in the structure and function of the body. This gives me peace of mind when I have an injury, as I trust that the guidance is correct.
  • The premises, both of which are appetising, bright and stylish. The equipment is in order, neat and clean.
  • The small classes that make it possible to instruct everyone, even individually.
  • The many different activities/teams that are now on the programme. There are many options and it's not difficult to join a team.
  • Easy-to-use booking system.

When I started at Pilates Cph in 2014, it was after hip surgery. Prior to the surgery, I had spent several years with a ’lopsided’ body, so the hip was almost the least of my problems, as the whole body had to be corrected for its compensation strategy. I think of it as training that ’saved my life’, thanks to your competent training and geekery, with attention to absolutely every detail.

Break from Pilates
I've been away for a couple of years doing yoga instead of Pilates, but now my body is acting up again. I thought I had to go back to Pilates Cph to get things fixed, and even though I'm not a patient soul, I can already feel that with your help I'll be fine again
