At Pilates Søborg, we emphasise high professionalism and thoroughness in our teaching. That's why we collaborate with Pilates CPH, which is our regular training partner and among the leaders in Denmark in classical Pilates. All our instructors are trained through Pilates CPH and are in continuous development through their training programme and professional sparring.
Pilates CPH has more than 15 years of experience in training instructors and has trained over 200 teachers in both Denmark and internationally on their matwork programme. Their programmes are based on classic Pilates, combined with modern knowledge of anatomy and movement.
MATWORK CPH™
Matwork is the basic training that gives you the most important tools to teach Pilates on the mat.You will learn to understand the basic principles of Pilates, the exercises on the mat, analyse movement patterns and guide students safely and effectively.
- 40 hours of training
- 40 hours of self-training
- 30 hours of self-education
- 35 hours of professional study

5 observation hours
The programme concludes with a final practical exam and written assignment.
New training programmes start regularly and all teaching is carried out by Pilates CPH.

Comprehensive CPH™
Once you have completed the Matwork programme, you can continue your training to become a Comprehensive instructor. Here you will learn to teach the entire classic equipment system: Reformer, Tower, Chair, Cadillac, Barrels and all small equipment such as Magic Circle, Ped-O-Pull etc.
- A total of 450 hours spread over:
- Training on all classic equipment
- Teaching practice on all classic equipment
- Self-training and group training

Minimum 15 observation hours
There are ongoing practical and written tests. The programme concludes with a final practical exam and written assignment to be completed within 6 months of the last class.
