Birgitte Franch: “What makes Pilates Cph exceptional is the instructors”

Addictive training

For the past ten years, I've suffered from back pain and back and neck pain that has bothered me at home, at work and in my training - mainly horse riding. At times, it has forced me to walk sideways. I tried back training, doctor's exercise advice, physiotherapy, yoga, strength training, massage, osteopathy, until a physiotherapist advised me to try Pilates.

A good friend and former dancer highly recommended training at Pilates Cph. As it turned out, it was my luck.

I've always associated exercise with nature and fresh air and am not a fan of gyms, so it was with some scepticism and a sore back that I walked through the door at Pilates Cph a year ago. Now I look forward to working out every time and come here several times a week. There's a welcoming atmosphere and small class sizes (nice corona-friendly) for all levels.

But what makes Pilates Cph exceptional are the instructors. Gitte and Camilla have a keen eye for your quirks and weaknesses and instruct in detail and with intensity, giving you strength and flexibility you never knew you had.

I've always been stiff as a board and will never be a ballerina, but I've become significantly more flexible and stronger throughout my body since I started training at Pilates Cph - and miraculously haven't had any back problems since.

Pilates training has given me a body feeling and a more toned body and posture - I've become super addicted to it. And I've gained the belief that my body can withstand sitting in the office chair and saddle for many years to come. As long as I train at Pilates Cph.
